how to read BigPicture WBS information from Script Runner

when we look at an issue of Jira that is also on a BigPicture program we see the WBS in the issue. I would like to know if there is a way to read with runner scripts the issue hierarchy that is shown in the WBS. Has someone already had this kind of need ?

This is one of the features that is highly demanded by our customers and I am happy to inform that we are about to release BigPicture 8 which implements such possibilities. 

At the moment I am writing this answer the ONE-2875 Feature for Enhanced JQL is waiting for release .

It will introduce the following possibilities:

Issues are possible to search using JQL by data stored in BP:

• find tasks in the scope of a particular Box
• find tasks in the scope of a particular Box, which are not in subBoxes.
• find a parent(s) of particular task(s)
• find descendant of a particular task
• find tasks from boxes which have the given leader
• find tasks of a given color
• find tasks related to objectives
• find task dependencies
• find inward tasks
• find outward tasks
• find risks for box
