Hi,
I would like to setup an access to a Jira project for external contractors, but dont want them to be able to view the full list of projects.
Segregating access is quite easy with permissions schemes, but no matter how, the user still have the right to view the list of projects.
Is there any configuration to make to get this behaviour ?
Thanks a lot
Yann
Hi, @Matthieu ROBIN !
You should configure the "Browse Project Permission". Look throught article about the Project Permissions.
Hi Alexander,
thanks for quick reply.
We actually followed this page to setup the ACL. The point is more to remove the list of porjects in the droplist i.e ( on top of jira Webui )
We would like those users not to view this list, but only the project they are assigned to.
the "browse" project permission, even when not assigned to users, let them list the other projects.
thanks for your help
regards

Hm! Interesting.
Can you show us screen of "Browse Project Permission" configurations, for example, ISO-project(project, that you want to hide from someone)?

Now you should check your "Project Roles" - find how it is configured "Power user"-Role of ISO-project.
Those users(+ current issues assignees) can see ISO-project in "projects list".
P.S. As for me, I prefer not to use "Current assignee" in "Browse Project"-permission. Or it should correctly combined with "Assignable user"-permission.

In conclusion - now you can find your "Users with incorrect permissions" and remove them from "Power user"-role in projects(+ current assignees), that they shouldn't see.

Hi Alexander,
we did not see your reply since an hour, but actually, my colleague eventually find the same solution you proposed to us ( removing "current assignee" ), and it works perfectly as we want it.
So , thanks a lot for your time and help, as you find the solution.
Hope it can help other people :)
Kind regards
Yann
