i am administrator of project and can not change project key

i created a project and gave wrong project key. how can i change it

A Jira administrator will want to go to the Project's configuration menu, then Details. Here, you can change the name and key of the project.

And if that project is just created - you would be better off by deleting it and recreating it (again, assuming it contains no data yet). The reason for this is that project keys remain booked in the system even if you change them, and it creates additional burden of having "current key" and "original key". This will likely not cause you any problems per se - but it could in a very few specific scenarios in the future. More so though you are freeing up the wrong key for others to take.

Ask your administrator as only jira admin can make changes

You can't create a project if you are not already a global administrator, unless you create your own automation/endpoint to bypass that global permission requirement.
