kim delgadillo March 9, 2019

Hello,

I want to upload all future projects into jira cloud so that they can be filled when they start.

For project type I choose software. It goes fine but i dont see the backlog and sprint view in the project. Am I doing sth wrong?

csv contains following rows

project name

fix version

summary

start date

end date

project type

project key

Hello Kim,

Thank you for sharing this question.

Just to better understand your requirement, are you using JIRA Server or Cloud?

I understand that you would like to create all projects in a single CSV import so you can work on them posteriorly, defining directly through the CSV which project Board template (Kanban or Scrum) you would like to use. Have I understood it properly?

Just to clarify, Kanban is a methodology based on releases, while Scrum is based on Sprints.

Unfortunately, there is no way to specify this kind of data directly on a CSV import so all your software projects created from CSV will be automatically configured with a Kanban board, however, you have two options to work around it:

Option 1:

1 - Follow the instructions in the session Importing issues into multiple projects of this documentation

2 - Navigate to the projects and create a scrum board for each one, by click on the Board name > Create a new Board:

Option 2:

1 - Manually create your projects with the templates you want

2 - Use the CSV importer to create and map the issues in the existing projects you have previously created

Let us know if this information helps. :)
