i need to upgrade 4.x to 8.7.1 what iam do first

we are upgrade 4.x to 8.7.1 please let know the step by step

Hi!

1. Do inventarisation of instance.

2. Read some upgrade matrix, release notes of functionality.

3. Review installed plugins

4. Take one of strategy.

4.1. Upgrade version by version on exist instance

4.2. Install a new instance and do export/import

4.3. Install a new instance and migrate of active projects and keep old one on old Jira instance
