Hi Priyanka,

how is this related to JMWE?

If you're using a Set Field Value post-function to set the Description field, you can use any Jira wiki markup. Just use the appropriate markup to insert an image like if you were doing it manually. It can be a reference to an issue attachment, using this syntax:

!attachedimage.gif!

or an internet-accessible image:

Yes, but it is not obvious how to do it. Basically you add the image as an attachment, then you can reference it in the description markup. A bit of a pain if you don't know how the markup works. There is a shortcut way of doing this however.

Click the pencil to edit the Description field.

Jira-PasteImage-001.png

An add screenshot dialog will be displayed. Assuming it is the image you want, click the upload button. you can change the filename if you want.

Jira-PasteImage-002.png

The file will be saved as an attachment and the appropriate markup will be added to the description. By default it will add it as a thumbnail. If you want full size just remove the "|thumbnail" text. Save your changes.

The end result in this case is a thumbnail and full size image..
