is there a way to format the checklist

some of our tasks are somewhat long and the format makes it so you can't see which checkbox it to what line.

Is there a way to add spacing? even something like html <br>?

Hi,

The Checklist add-on was designed to indent the text when the checkbox text would span more than one line in order to improve readability. However, it seems that this is not sufficient in your case. It is currently impossible to control the spacing between the checkbox items but I have added this request to our backlog. This doesn't look like a big improvement so we will try to expedite it and offer it in a subsequent release.
