hi team,
I'm using jira automation for below jira cloud version, to test some fucntionalities.
I want to implement a workflow, which will trigger automation rule upon status change. But for this cloud version I'm not getting option to add workflow.
Kindly guide on how I can add workflow and test workflow automation rules for the same.

Hi @Ashima Bhatia , welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Is this a team-managed or company managed project?
I would recommend starting with the following KBs regarding workflows:
Team-managed projects: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/manage-how-work-flows-in-your-team-managed-project/
Company-managed projects: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/work-with-issue-workflows/
What are you trying to achieve by using both workflow and automation?
You can implement a single project rule for example that fires the automation rule based on status change and won't need to create/modify any existing workflows for example.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
Ash
Hi Ash,
Thanks for the update, but my concern is I am not able to create workflows in below jira cloud version.
Once I'm able to create workflows, then only I will be able to test automation rules for status transitions. Kindly check and help.

I can't check your instance, this is a community support forum.
Do you have project admin permissions on the site?
Again, please clarify if this is a team-managed project or company-managed project as the steps to modify/create workflows differ (see my first post).
KR,
Ash
