1.when we migrate the servers and upgrade the Jira version simultaneously using xml backup, which directories should be copied from the old jira server.
 
2. if I'm running a Jira instance with developer license and if paste the production license in that server and save it. will the license be changed from developer to production one? if not how do we change the license

Hello,

1. Have a look at this guide:

Basically you need to copy JIRA_HOME/data and JIRA_HOME/logos (if you have it)

2. If you paste a production license. Your instance will not have any notice about the developer license.

thanks for sharing the information.in development license do we have user limit or it is similar to production license for users

For the development license you have the same user limit as for the production license.
