linksIssueProject only returning closed tickets

I am trying to use linksIssueProject to find issues in one project that are linked to issues in another. The issue is that the filter only returns resolved issues.

JQL:

project=PR1 and linksIssueProject=PR2

 

 

If i flip the values around, nothing is returned. 

 

Is this a known issue?

Hi @minakshi.sabnani , I am not familiar with linksIssueProject. Is this provided by an addon?

We have no addons installed and it comes up as a autocomplete in the JQL advanced search bar, so it looks to be native to jira cloud?
