max no of records importable in a single attempt via CSV import

what is the max no of records importable in a single attempt via CSV import, any suggested numb for this..

We have hit a 250 record limit when our users are attempting to "Import Issues from CSV" under the "Issues" tab using the Cloud version.  Does anyone know how to up this limit?  

I understand there is no limit when using the "External System Import" option under "System" however we are looking for an option for our end users to bulk upload their issues.

I have not found a limit on importing issues via csv. However it it always good to import a smaller number of issues (e.g.100) and check the issues before importing the unlimited number of issues.
