Hi,

When users were mentioned in comments on an issue, they used to get an email that had "mentioned you" in the subject line (even if they were also watching issues in the project).

It seems since the update a few weeks ago, if a user is both watching and mentioned in a comment they only get one email notification (not two) and the "mentioned you" is not included in the header.  For large projects (where some users are getting 100s of emails),  they used the "mentioned you" to help prioritize the ones they needed to look at first.  Is there a way to configure JIRA so that if users are both watching and mentioned in a comment that the "mentioned you" subject is used for the email notifications?

Hi Line,

This seems to be working as per design -- JRASERVER-61389:

In detail, when you are meant to receive a issue commented notification (due to a project's notification scheme) AND a mention email notification (because you were @mentioned in the comment) JIRA must only sent you one email.

Consequently, it chooses to use comment notification template on this scenario. This is by design.

Hence, suggestion has been raised to retain the use of @mentions email template -- JRASERVER-37777.

Regards,

Kelly
