migrate jira and confluence from one server to two servers

Jun Li November 1, 2015

We have both JIRA and Confluence on the same server. We plan to separate them to two different servers. I have not found exact instruction on our case. All the migration instructions are for migrating from JIRA to another JIRA, or from Confluence to another Confluence.

Would the migration instructions apply to our case? if not, any links for it or any additional steps we need to take?

Thanks

Yes, the migration instructions are the same.

The fact the systems are on the same server now is irrelevant, as they will (or at least should) have been installed separately.  (Even if they've been installed incorrectly, in the same container, it doesn't matter, their files and databases are still completely separate)

So, create  a new JIRA server, migrate to it, then the same for Confluence.  Or the other way around.
