moving from apache axis to apache cxf

Hi,

My project uses jira soap client to connect to jira. I found wsdl jirasoapservice-v2 is used to generate the required classes. These classes were generated using apache axis. Now I need to move to apache cxf which don't support rpc/encoding in wsdl. Do I need to modify the wsdl to support cxf or jira provides different webservice from where I can pull the new wsdl. 

Any suggestion will help in this regard.
