multiple boards associated with a project

Hi there

I have a project which has 3 boards set up, each board is for a separate mini project within the main project and needs to be separated out for each project team. However, it appears that tickets are being shared across all 3 boards and I can't see any way to rectify this. From the backlog board tickets are associated to the correct boards however when I go to the kanban board, everything is assigned. 

Do I need to create 3 separate projects?

Check the jql used on the Kanban board, it sounds like it is setup to use the same one as the backlog one.
