nFeed local Jira database: SQL or JQL which is better?

I need to pull data from one Jira project to another. In short I need to query the Jira database. I am using the plugin 'nFeed' for this.

But nFeed provides two options 'SQL' and 'JQL' for this purpose.

Would like to know what is the best recommended of these two?

Does using 'SQL' cause any performance related issues with Jira since the Jira database will be hit over and over again for querying?

@Rupa JainI not used this plugin before,  but an  easy  check  is  try it in your test environment   and see the result before deploying to  production environment.
