Did you mean:

one Backlog for two Boards/Workflows?

Gerd_Huhn February 1, 2018

Hi guys,

finally, our team wants to completly use Jira for his development work.

Nevertheless, because of the special circumstances here in the project, they want to use two Boards. One board is the workflow of creating a user story out of a task from production and the other board is for the actual development workflow. At the end of the worklflow of the first board should be a user story which is ready for development and can be put on the second board.

Unfortunately, the two boards have different workflows.

Is it possible to use one project and one backlog, at best the backlog of the second board, for this? And if so, how?

I got stuck at the different workflows :/

Best regards,

Gerd

@Gerd_Huhn, I’m not quite following you here but I’m sure we can achieve your goal in the end.

For sure you can use one project and two workflows. You just need to have different issue types assigned to the workflows. If you only want the Backlog to be of the stories for development then the board should exclude the issue types associated with the production side.

Please help clarify you situation so we can refine the answer.
