opening screen on a particular tab

Hi,

I have a screen with 3 tabs. Each tab contains the fields that are pertinent when transitioning to a particular state in the workflow.

What I would to do if have the screen form open up on a particular tab depending on the workflow status. (The other tabs should be available as information on them might need to be updated or might be available despite not being needed just yet.)

Is this possible and, if so, how to you do it?

Thanks in advance for any help / pointers / advice you can give.
