"Asset" does not appear on the top navigation menu bar

After adding the user as the "manager" role to an object schema with a group, the "asset" menu still does not show up on the users top navigation menu bar, to enable the user to access the asset management. Does anyone know why?

You need a JSM license in order to edit Assets, so you would have to assign the user a license for the Assets menu to be shown. Jira Software and Jira Work Management users can only view and edit the content of an Assets custom field.

Additionally, Assets is included in Jira Service Management Premium and Enterprise plan. If you are using Standard plan you won't see Assets in the top navigation bar.
