Hello there!
I have a project where using the Assign to me button changes the status from Open to Assigned. Everything works as expected.
Now I created new projects which use the same workflow as the projects mentioned above. In these projects the Assign to me Button doesn't change the status from Open to Assigned.
How can I change that? I couldn't find it in the workflow settings.
Thank you kindly!
Hi @Ju I think Scripted Listner is created for the projects in which it's working. When Assignee changed, issue automatically update status to Assigned.
Kindly apply same Listner for new project.
OR
Might be automation rule applied in working project. KIndly check that as well, go to project setting >> Automation.
Thanks,
V.Y
Hi Vikrant,
we don't have ScriptRunner installed and there is no automation active for the project.
But I think we used to have ScriptRunner a while ago. Weird though, that it apparently still works.

Hi @Ju I think issue is fixed now. Automation Lite is the plugin which changing status.
Intially I asked the same thing to check.
Great, issue fixed :)

Hi @Ju ,
your functionality is not something, which can be achieved only by Jira itself, so there's probably some automation application installed in your instance.
Please, do you know which one? ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira, JMWE, ...?

Hi Hana,
I just recently took over the administration of our Jira environment, so I though it was a standard functionality of Jira.
I just took a look at our apps and it seems we have "JSU Automation Suite for Jira Workflows" installed.
So I guess this plugin is responsible for the behavior described in my post?
Thank you
Ju

Hi @Ju ,
I don't think JSU app does this. AFAIK this app is only able to add some special conditions, post functions nad validators to workflows, but your Jira reacts to issue assigned event, so there is probably some other application?

Here is a list of our plugins.
I just realized the desired behavior with the "Automation Lite for Jira" Plugin.
So Thank you for your help :)
I still don't know why it worked in the old projects (as mentioned in the post), since there was no automation active or even created until now.
Well, doesn't matter, since it works now.
Kind Regards
Julian
