"Jira was successfully upgraded to version 9.4.7 on 2022 Sep 01" when it wasn't

we have upgraded two Jira Data Center systems from 9.1.1 to 9.4.7 (identical versions)

  • the first last month
  • the second this month

Yet the [base-URL]/secure/PostUpgradeLandingPage.jspa "Latest upgrade report"

states:

  • for the first system, "Jira was successfully upgraded to version 9.4.7 on 2022 Aug 22" (it wasn't it was upgraded last month)
  • and for the second system "Jira was successfully upgraded to version 9.4.7 on 2022 Sep 01" (it wasn't, it was upgraded earlier this month)

I theorised that this might be the date the software release was made, but then they've both been upgraded from an identical version to an identical version, so I'd have expected them both to say the same date, but they don't, so that seems to disprove that theory.

Any ideas where Jira's getting this information from?

Hi Arnold,

This behavior is maybe a Jira bug - please see JRASERVER-67130, which is still unresolved. Please try to look at the upgrade date under System -> System info -> Last upgrade (Get more upgrade history details.)
