Hi,

I am getting reports from users in my org that when creating a Story in one of our projects they are presented with a "specify an EPIC" error despite choosing one on the "Parent" field.

This worked up until a few days ago.

What should I look for to solve this?

Thank you!

Sounds like a recent configuration or permission change might be affecting issue creation. I’d recommend checking if the Epic link field is now required in the field configuration or workflow validator. Also, verify if any automation rules were recently modified that could be interfering.

Yeah, it was a validator in the workflow. The validator relied on the old "Epic Link" field instead of "Parent". though I don't know why all of a sudden it happened now. this change was a while back isn't it?
