Hi Community!

We're running into difficulties with Plans (Advanced Roadmaps) not recognising users in a custom user picker field when creating issues from a Plan.

Here is the current flow:

  1. Issue created from the plan view
  2. Several fields are filled out, including a custom user picker
  3. When submitting the changes Plans asks the user to fill out the required fields
  4. When clicking create Plans gives the error "user 'username' was not found in the system."

I've already checked that the custom user field is on the issue create screen. In the Plan view the user is added from a drop down menu, so Jira recognises the user value at that point. The users (both the one creating and the one in the field) have access to the project and can create/edit issues.

Manually selecting the user after the create screen gives an error does work. So it almost looks like Plans is giving the custom field data in the wrong format (ie: user name vs user id).

Has anyone else encountered this problem/ do you know of a solution?

Kind regards,

Els
