roles and rights to exclude someone from issue within a project

Hello 

We have a project in Jira that have special roles for suppliers so that one supplier cannot look into the issue of another.
This is controlled by a Supplier field and the Role within the project. However, I can't find back how this is set up. This was created by someone who was the administrator of Jira before me.
Where could I find this back, could this be done in a workflow or somewhere in Permissions?

While I'm not sure of how this might have been setup, I'll suggest you use the permission helper to see how the viewing is made possible.

Would also suggest checking if your project uses any security schemes.
