script fo populate a custom field in jira

I need to pre-populate a custom field. Does anyone know of a script I can use?

if you need to have a default value please read here https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-a-custom-field/

If you need to have a pre-populated custom filed value based on some conditions, please use Behaviour provided by Script Runner.
