setup different custom field(drop down) options in jira issue with parent ID

Possibilities on setting up different set of options to a dropdown custom field in epic jira issue which comes under particular parent ID.

For example we have a issue as ABC-12 and 5 issues have been linked to it only those 5 issues which is linked to ABC-12 should have set of options on particular custom field. 

Appreciate any type of input.

interesting question, I'm particularly curious for the use case you would have. 

In terms of the how, I would envision it looking something like this:

• set the field (dropdown, checkboxes,..) on the parent issue
• when an issue is linked to that, it copies the values of the parent issue so you can use them (only) there

Did I understand correct? 
I don't think something like this is possible in standard Jira, you might need to look into (a combination of) apps. 

I'm sure it won't be the only possibility and I'm not an app vendor, but I would try a custom checkbox app (like this one ) and then copying the values from the parent issue to the linked issues with automation rules.
