Dear all
we have a project called "Development" for the final users, with their own issue types, and create a copy of that and linked as related on another projects called "Applications" (we have 32 applications) for the app owner.
This copy is created as issue type Task and create a new copy as subtask to be managed by technical team itself.
the problem is that i need to show the worklog for the whole development (main issue type+task+subtask) and show the link for the 3 issues (or at least 2 of them: development and task)
is it possible to see with a dashboard gadget or at least is there a plugin that can do this?
thx for your help and time
In our implementation, we use the Structure plugin to get. It creates fields that do sums of estimates (original and remaining, as well as worklogs) depending on their hierarchy. You can have any issue be "parent" of any other issue, and have as many levels of hierarchy as required.
Instead of having just task/subtask relationship, you could have Main > task > subtask1, subtask2, subtask3...
To make this easier to maintain, you can set up synced filters to automatically place subtasks below their tasks in the Structure hierarchy, and tasks below the "main" issues to which they're linked (with an Issue Link). For this purpose, you could create your own issue link, like "Has application issue/ Has development issue" so the filter only catches these special relationships
It's a nice plugin, but can be a tad expensive for large user tiers.
