starting couple of days ago no option to group by muli select field in. JIRA plan

i have a JIRA plan and i want to group by a custom field from multi-select  text type.  it is not working. 

old view that was saved still see the groups, but i cannot edit the groups / add new groups

New view - does not group at all, here in the picture you can see the existing view with groups, but when looking at the groups from the right I see they all empty. 

if i update them - nothing will happen.

And in a new view, the group can be defined, but it is not working at all. no grouping - all will be under "Other" 

i think it happend only with multi select text fields.

Seems this feature is still not available. I could find a jira ticket with same problem and workaround as "Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available".
