stop jira from logging out

Is there anyway to make JIRA 5 stop logging out. Our previous install was 4.3.4 and we had no problems with sporadic logouts.

Even when i increase the inactivity time (to 999 minutes) it still seems to log out and ask for a "captcha" verification (even though captcha is off!!)

Is there any way to stop jira from logging out users unless they click Log out no matter how long they've been inactive or what they do?

I'm not concerned about security as this is just a small 10user instance of jira.

Is it an issue with invalid tokens in browser cache? Can you clear the cookies in browser and try? Just a guess because I have seen logout issues with corrupted cookies.
