temporarily disable logons jira

Hello,

We need to create a backup of our instance and will do this via an XML file.  Is there any way to disable logons during this backup so we don't have folks in the app making changes?

Unfortunately not. If you have a reverse proxy or load balancer ahead of Jira you could shut that down and access the application via port 8080, for example.  That's what we typically set up for our clients.

Thank you. I checked and our firewall blocks vpn users from accessing 8080, so we may just stop the jira service, start it and create the backup.  

Good thing is we're doing it off hours.
