timesheet add-on

hayta.5 January 20, 2021

Hello,

When I try to add work log for subtask, the subtask issue key couldn’t be found on search field. Could it be fixed?

Thanks,

Hello @hayta.5

Thank you for reaching out.

Could you please let us know if you are logging time using a third-party add-on or are you using the inbuilt Jira time tracking?

If you are using Jira time tracking, I suggest checking the following steps to troubleshoot your issue:

  1. Navigate to the project related to the sub-task > Click on project settings > Permissions
  2. Use the Permission helper to confirm if you have the permission to log work on this project
  3. In the left menu, click on Workflows, then click to Edit the workflow related to the sub-task issue type
  4. On Diagram mode, click on the status related to the sub-task and check if you have the property "jira.permission.work.denied" added to any statuses of your workflow. This property prevents you from log work on issues, as described in the KB below:
How to restrict Log Work on a specific status
  5. If that's the case, remove the property and you'll be able to log work on the sub-task

Let us know if this information helps.
