umapped issues not shown in JIRA Agile 6.4.4

Have set up a Kanban board I have moved some status to the unmapped column, but I now want to map them however they no longer appear in the unmapped column. How do I recover these or is this a bug?

They should not disappear, I just retried it myself several times (removed a status from a column and put it to Unmapped Status back and forth). How many statuses do you have? Perhaps they are just somewhere there way below?

They can disappear if the status is not used in any of the workflows associated with the projects defined in the board filter.
