unable to delete a task

When I try to delete a task, Jira reports "error", and shows "Sorry, we had some technical problems during your last operation."

Hi Melissa,

I can't see the complete error you are having here, but I think this is caused by a lexoranking problem on your Jira site.   I would recommend trying to follow the steps in the KB: Cannot reindex jira due to Expected exactly 2 rows the maximum marker row and the lowest ranked row for rank field

There are a couple of different root causes that the KB helps explain how to both identify and resolve depending on which one applies to your system.  If that KB does not help, or you get stuck, please let me know the results of all the possible root causes of that KB and from there I should be better able to advise you on the next steps to follow.
