update jira server

I was running a jira server with version 7.3.0

An email ask me to upgrade to fix bugs and now, it is a nightmare

during the installation, I choose upgrade the current configuration and now, I have a new repository /opt/atlassian/jira2, a new user jira1, a new startup script jira1.service and nothing is working.

How to simply upgrade without create a new user, a new repository and keep my data ?

Seems like you gave wrong inputs while running installer. Normally when you run an installer for upgrading existing Jira instance, it doesn't create a new user or directory.
