uprade 8.2.3 vers 8.13

Hello,
I would like to know the effect of the update from 8.2.3 to 8.13:
Will the existing Tomcat be overwritten by the new Tomcat?
Will the existing configuration files be overwritten?
Basically what do we keep from the old version after an update on our server?

If you use the installer to upgrade Jira, assume that EVERYTHING will be overwritten.  Tomcat, configuration files, everything.

If you've made custom changes, you should keep backups of the following files/directories so you can perform a diff and compare.  The installer will have migrated some of the settings, but nothing custom:

• server.xml
• dbconfig.xml
• jira-config.properties
• web.xml
• setenv.sh / setenv.bat (memory allocation and other JVM arguments)
