using Portfolio with existing projects

I'm wondering how tu use Portfolio with exisiting projects, actually i treat my projects with JIRA  since months and i want to implement the portfolio module, I followed an online training UDEMY for the Portfolio, but in this training, they show how to use the Portfolio from the beginning , it's as if the project starts now, or in my case, the project is running, and even the planification is done. Can you please assist me how to implement Porfolio in my case.

You can use Portfolio with existing Jira projects and boards. The following Getting Started Guide should help you out: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiraportfoliocloud/getting-started-with-portfolio-for-jira-873926170.html

When you create the new plan in Portfolio, you can choose the project or board that you want it to use.
