hi,
we need Jira Roadmap Gadget ! But we read that it will be stopped by May '25.
What is a good replacement for it?
Why is support stopped?
I can see there are many people not happy about this.

Hi @GVE
If you are fine to explore a mktplace app to view roadmaps / timelines in a dashboard gadget , I can suggest our app
The app also allows you to view your project issue hierarchy in a tree view. You can view %complete progress at each parent level. It roll ups the time tracking fields, story point or numeric fields at each parent level. The app can be added to a dashboard as well

Hi @GVE (Gerard), welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I suppose you are referring to this announcement: We're ending support for five dashboard gadgets on Dec. 9, 2024
As described in this article, The Timeline View in a Jira project and Plans (Premium feature) are available alternatives.
Have you tried these alternatives? What requirements are missing?

hi Dave,
yes, that is what I am referring to.
The Timeline View is only per project (as I see it).
I need a simple overview of all future/in progress releases over all (or a subset of) projects.
How can I do that?

Hi Gerard, just to be clear: I'm not from Atlassian, we volunteer in the Community Forum and help answering questions where we can.
All Jira Cloud Premium or Enterprise licenses include access to advanced planning features. If you have access to it, you’ll see a menu titled Plans in your Jira navigation bar.
If you’re unsure which Jira Cloud license you have, or if you don’t see Plans in your top Jira navigation menu, contact your administrator.

hi Dave,
I am sorry, I didn't know that ... just assumed you were from Atlassian. Sorry!
I can see I do have a Plans menu in the top, but when I click on it, it needs unlocking.
So: I don't have it. And that means that having a simple overview of all current/future releases over all projects is a no go?
Timeline view is only per project? Is that true?
I'll try talking to Atlassian helpdesk too.

Hi Gerard,
Yes, you are correct, the Timeline View is limited to 1 project only (within the project you are viewing)
Having an overview of all current/future releases over all projects would require a Jira Premium Plan or a paid third-party Marketplace app.
I do understand your frustration over a feature being sunset without a valid alternative (that doesn't increase the cost).
