Hello,
I tested the "issue security scheme", and it seems to correspond to our needs. However, before asking my colleagues to work in this way, i'd like to have some feedback from people already using it.
* is it easy to use for the developers/ project members?
* is it easy to manage?
* are there any problems like performance issues?
thanks!
Vincent
Hi Vincent,
I've always found them really simple to use - a user stamps a mark on something to say "secret" and only the people we've defined as being able to see that level of stuff can see it.
It's a little confusing when you first see it as an admin, and most people new to it miss the "you can not set a security level that you do not belong to on an issue" rule, but it's always worked fine for me.
Hi Vincent,
I have always had good success with Issue Security schemes. Doesn't really depend on the developers/project members - they either see the Issue or not. That's all the work of the Jira Admin. If a user has the ability to set the security level, then that's just a field the set - very easy.
