when creating an EPIC, the component which I used in my filter is not inherited

I have created 2 boards under 1 project(company-managed). The filter I used to populate the tickets is a component.  The expectation (on which I read somewhere) is that the filter you used should automatically  fill-in the component, otherwise, if you create an Epic it would not be shown on the board.

THe catch here, how come my other board is filling-in the 'component' section automatically and not with the other board. I just used a very simple query which is to display items with the specified component under the Project it belongs to.
