Hi Prakriti,

Are you values of the fields themselves are missing? Or the columns in the filter you selected did not get exported?

Hi @Prakriti Arora , I have encountered a similar issue to this when exporting many different types of issues, with many different custom fields. If you have a large number of issue types you need to export, I would recommend creating a JQL filter for each of the issue types.

As an example, let's say you want to export 500 issues, which contain the following issue types

  • Bug
  • Story
  • Task

I would recommend creating one JQL filter for each of those issue types, and exporting those individually.

  • JQL for Bug Issues
  • JQL for Story Issues
  • JQL for Task Issues

It seems Jira has an undocumented limit on the number of Custom Fields it can export, and by limiting them in this way, the exporter is able to properly export the data.

Hi @Prakriti Arora

That's definitely strange! To help figure this out, could you tell us:

  • How are you exporting the issues? (Are you exporting from the board or backlog, or from a filter?)
  • Which "Export" type are you using? (For example, "Export CSV (all fields)" or "Export CSV (current fields)")

If you're using "Export CSV (current fields)", you'll need to make sure the field is added as a column to the view you're exporting from.

Hope this helps
