Jira Administrator role in Chicago

I'm recruiting for a Jira Administrator for a client in Chicago.  This is a 6-month contract (40 hours/week) that will likely go well beyond the initial 6 months.  This person needs to be in the Chicagoland area or ready to relocate here once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted and folks go back into the office.

JIRA ADMINISTRATOR

Our client a Chicago-based capital markets firm that provides an integrated suite of financial services to professional trading participants in the global financial market. 

ROLE SUMMARY:

This role is for an experienced JIRA Administrator. You will form part of our Business Development and Project Management Team with strong familiarity with the Atlassian suite of products.  The position will help to drive significant Continuous Improvement through Standardization, Automation, and Workflow Enhancement opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, test, and deploy customizable workflow and process design for new & existing business, operational, and regulatory requirements
• Streamline and enhance current JIRA workflows and automations
• Create custom dashboards using various filter types in JIRA
• Construct Confluence pages and integrate to JIRA projects
• Confluence administration and data management
• JIRA Issue tracking and resolution
• Organization of the JIRA workflow engine
• Act as a SME for the integration & transition of Server JIRA projects to Cloud JIRA

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree/experience
• Excellent project management skills;
• Strong communication skills, demonstrated ability to create clear & concise documentation
• Able to collaborate with diverse teams and staff of all levels
• Highly-adaptive & creative problem-solving mindset & demeanor

PREFERRED TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years’ experience as a JIRA Administrator with direct experience customizing JIRA projects with various schemas, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes Required
• Experience working in an Agile work stream
• Atlassian Tools Certifications Strongly Preferred
