Hello, 

I've spotted some professional Atlassian advisers in this community, 

would appreciate your kind advise, and help with a script to be used in Crowd to automate mass user creation, could someone walk me through the process or send me a pointer to a step by step work aid? tutorial?

You could use a script and use the crowd API to create users - https://developer.atlassian.com/server/crowd/crowd-rest-resources/

I find it much easier though to use the CSV import for a quick and easy way to create a large amount of users in crowd. See - https://confluence.atlassian.com/crowd/importing-users-from-csv-files-64454760.html
