> Does Loom have an ability to query it, like AskFred does for Fireflies?
As of now (late August 2025), Loom does not have a built-in feature like AskFred that allows querying transcripts via chatbot-style prompts.
What it does: Fireflies.ai offers AskFred, an AI teammate capable of understanding and responding to natural language queries from your meeting recordings. You can ask things like “What were the key discussion points?” or “Write a follow-up email,” and it responds based on the processed transcript Atlassian Support+7Fireflies+7tl;dv+7.
Works after processing: You use AskFred after the meeting is transcribed in Fireflies Notepad or Dashboard Fireflies.
Loom
No transcript chatbot:
Loom supports captions (especially with paid plans), but it doesn’t offer an AI chat interface for querying the transcript.
There’s no AskLoom equivalent for diving into the video content via natural language prompts.
There are workarounds.

But really, there should be something built into Loom itself.
And while I suppose Atlassian will build for Rovo, I'm finding it easier to sell Loom standalone, and being dependent on the rest of the teamwork suite will hamper this.

Martin.

Thanks, @Martin Cleaver! I'm on the Loom Product Marketing team and we appreciate this feedback. As you mentioned, this is possible today using Rovo, but we're actively working on more ways to interact with the transcript for Loom standalone as well.
