Need support setting up my Loom.

Hi,

I watched the videos but do not seem to have the same screen. I would love some help setting up. I use a MAC and not sure if the features are hidden or if I need to troubleshoot the setting or if I am missing something. Much appreciated.

Hi Vinesha 👋

First, welcome to Loom! We have a couple of different recorders: the Desktop App, Chrome Extension, & Mobile App. I'd bet you're just using a different recorder than the screen you're comparing it to!

Here are some helpful steps to get started and set up for success:

1. Go to Loom.com and log in directly to your Loom workspace using your work email or SSO.
2. Desktop App: Download Loom's Desktop App (our most robust recorder) for HD recording, camera frames, a drawing tool, and more!
3. Chrome Extension: Use the Chrome Extension to record with Loom directly in your browser- Gmail, Jira, Github, and all your other favorite work tools.
4. Mobile App: Loom’s Mobile App is great for recording your phone screen, receiving Loom notifications, and watching Looms on the fly.
5. It’s time to hit record! Remember, you don’t need to be polished or perfect. We want you to be your authentic self, so have fun with it!
6. Like magic 🪄 your Loom will instantly render and is ready to share anywhere via URL.
