API Access blocked intermittently when using Basic Authentication

Hi,

I am building a basic application that retrieves some data from JIRA performs some analytics and creates a few charts. I am using the jira-ruby gem with basic authentication. Every now and then the application blocks my access through the API until I login from the web application and correctly resolve a CAPTCHA challenge..is there a way to resolve this?

Faraaz,

The most likely reason for this is that your password changed and some API call or application is still trying to login using the wrong password. The captcha is only asked when an user tries to login and sends the wrong password.
