Intalled the JIRA Calendar Plugin on JIRA instance and caused the server memory and load balance to spike. We had to restart the server because JIRA wasn't accessible. Has anyone experience a similar outcome after installing the plugin?
I know it can be quite resource intensive but I've never had it hang a system. What di the logs say afterwards? Could it be that you were running close to your JVM memory limits and perhaps this pushed you over the edge? What's your typical resource utilisation? I don't remember what the log read. Our memory was fine. We did try to reproduce the steps in another environment, first the memory spiked and the load balance was fine, and then the load started to spike, but by that time, the memory was reaching capacity. We're thinking the filter that was queried on used a lot of read/write memory and that JIRA needs time to cache all the issues into the calendar boxes.
