Good Afternoon,
We would like to find a way how reporters can receive an email notification after an approval request has been approved or not.
Right now only the assigner receives them and we would like to add the reporter as well. Can you please give us some tips on how to do this?
Cheers,
Jason

Hi Heng,
the just released version 2.8 allows to customize the desired recipients of the e-mail reply also for users having been set as approvals.
Please, review https://chicago.herzum.com/confluence/display/HAP/Approval+reply+notification+Administration for further information on this setting.
Best Regards,
Antonella

Hi Antonella,
This feature to allow to customize recipients of the email reply is a good feature (as a start).
However, as mentioned in your documentation "By default when an user click on one of the action buttons (Approve, Reject, Cancel) or just reply via e-mail, an email notification is sent to the Assignee and to the users having been set as approvals.
The Approval reply notification Administration screen allows to overwrite the default notification behavior, infact, the system administrator can manage the recipients of the notifications in addition to the users having been set as approvals."
We would actually like to see whether it would be possible to configure to truly "overwrite" the default notification behaviour to select recipients ("instead of" rather than "in addition" to the default notification behaviour). In particular, we don't necessarilly want each and every approver to notified after each approvers response. For example we have in our case a list of 36 approvers - and in this case, we don't want them to effectively be notified after each update (otherwise the approver may expect to get minimum 35+ email notifications for each approval). Perhaps only the Assignee "may" be appropriate in this scenario.

Thanks Antonella,
I will proceed with the update later this week. Have a nice day

Hi Jason,
the next add-on, version 2.6, is going to provide a flexible way to configure the desired recipients (including reporter) of the notifications that are sent when an approval replies to an approval request.
I will keep you posted.

Antonella
