Hi Herzum,
I was wondering if there is a maximum amount of status transitions a workflow can have with the herzum approval plugin. I have a rather complex workflow with 52 status transition possibilities in total. When i deactivate an approval via the define approvals section of herzum the change will go into effect when i click the "save and close" and be seen immediately in the JIRA issue as desired. I can transition to the next status without issue. However when i create a new issue and get to the location in the workflow where i previously removed the approval it will be back. I only noticed this as of recently which is when the size of the workflow grew very large.
Please assist.
Thank you,
Mike
I suppose that there is a misunderstanding on the 'Define approval' functionality.
The Approval Mapping allows to set approvals for all issues belonging to a Project and issue type.
The Define Approval allows to set approvals for a single issue also overwriting an Approval Mapping configuration.
The documentation detailing the topics is listed below:
- https://chicago.herzum.com/confluence/display/HAP/Configure+an+overall+Approval+Mapping
- https://chicago.herzum.com/confluence/display/HAP/Define+Approvals+for+an+issue.
You reports that the Define Approval settings on an issue is not active on a new issue but it is the expected behavior.
In order to remove the approval on each new created issue you must modify the Approval Mapping associated to the Project/Issue type the issues belong to.
I hope it helps.
Please, let me know if it fixes your problem.
Regards
Thank you Antonella I am now working! It turns out i wasn't updating the Approval Mapping in the correct location. When i updated within the issue by clicking the "Define Approvals" button (can be seen with admin rights) the changes i made did not stick. When i went in through the Add-ons -->Approval Mapping Configuration and did the changes through my project they changes did stick giving me the changes i desired.
