Are there any issues with only having https URLS configured as opposed to also having http?

Manohar Venkataraman October 25, 2012

We currently have both https & http URLs configured. Due to security concerns we may just have to have https configured. I wanted to know if there were any potential ramifications beyond just telling the users they could only use the https address.

Hi, there are no issues if you setup http to permanently redirect to https in Tomcat or the reverse proxy you may be using. This will ensure all users accessing it via http will still have their content served as https.
