Automator to compare start and end date of to issue to prevent double "booking"

We try to build a solution for rooms and ressources. There is a component for each ressource and a start and an end date for every issue within that component. If a new issue within a component is created the start and end dates are supposed to be compared so that date areas are unequal...

Any ideas? :=)
